RUMOUR MILL: BT MERGER IN JAN?

Business Travel conspire to create two super-teams to bring down FX outfits - is it true?

Rumours are rife that Machines and All-Stars are in talks with Highflyers Captain, Mark Haines regarding what can only be described as the dissolution of the "All-Blacks" into the stronger travel teams this coming, 'January Transfer Window'.

The rumours were sparked when reporters for the Blackfriars Sports News taped Rupert de Saeger, Alain Van West and Carlo Verme at their local starbucks, conspiring about the merger. Most of the audio is inaudible through the slurps of Mocha-Frappe-Latte-Vanillia-Chino-Grandé's but Italian, Verme was heard saying, "I'm going to give Juliano Chacon, Gary Gambrill and Mark Haines an offer they can't refuse...a contract to play for the second best BT team in the league". Chacon would fill the huge void left by Gugi Mandla, a position that, if left empty would be the undoing of a great team.

All-Stars centre-forward Bembey stirred the pot more when a team memo slipped out of his pocket only to be picked up by Ken Martin of Adletico, who reportedly sold it immediately to the press for a hefty sum. The memo outlined Captain Eves' plans to snatch up Alan Clarke, Perry Sutherland and Laurence Griffiths - the latter being the obvious replacement for want-a-way, free scoring Thomas who is in talks with the New York Redbull's presently.

Hot on the FX radar is Raj Das, whose excellent display against Adletico impressed Dom Mesiti and Ian Hargreaves - each happy to have the full-back to ensure they keep more clean sheets, something they have lacked recently.
